Bernie King results

We had a field of 23 players for the Bernie King Memorial tournament at Family Billiards this afternoon. Thanks to multiple generous league members adding extra donations and a 1:1 corporate match, we raised $1200 for the Shanti Project.

Election ballots out

Emails have been sent with this season’s ballot for board elections and sportsmanship award nominations. Please let a member of the board know if you did not receive the ballot and would like to vote.

On Sunday afternoon, we will be contesting the Bernie King Memorial at Family Billiards. Warmup starts at 11:30 and play begins at noon. This is a FargoRate handicapped event that raises funds for Shanti Project, a local nonprofit that focuses on building human connections to reduce isolation, enhance health and well-being, and improve quality of life.

West Coast Challenge update

San Diego has confirmed that they will be hosting West Coast Challenge 83 on September 19-22. As a result, the prizes for our upcoming WCC qualifiers for Hi-Lo and Individual events will be stipends for travel to San Diego. We don’t have any other details to report at the moment, but will post new information in the West Coast Challenge section of the web site as it comes in.

In other news, tournament season is now in full swing and we encourage players to visit the calendar to vew upcoming event dates. Congratulations to the following players for their high finishes in the 8-ball tournament finals:
