LAPL 50th Anniversary
December 7 - December 8
Email from the Los Angeles Pool League:
On behalf of the Los Angeles Pool League, the Board of Governors would like to inform you of a milestone event in our Leagues history.
The L. A. Pool League was organized in the Spring of 1974. The concept was to establish a League wherein the players would vote for their officials and the team Captains for League policies.
The League was originally intended to be a once-a-year happening but such great enthusiasm was generated during the first season of play that the Captains immediately voted to have two seasons which over time became 10 weeks of regular season play followed by play offs in the Spring and again in the Fall.
On Saturday December 7th, 2024 and Sunday December 8th, 2024 we are celebrating our 50th year of organized League play.
You are personally invited to join us for a 50th Anniversary Regional Invitational Tournament at Jerry’s Family Billiards in Pasadena. The address is 1312 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena 91104.
There will be many League members from the past who will be participating in the weekend festivities. There will be both a BCA handicapped individuals tournament and a scotch doubles tournament, to be played on a combination of small and large tables.
There is a $25 buy in/player for either tournament and all registrants will receive a commemorative T shirt. Winners will receive Trophies and ca$h prize money.
The Scotch Doubles tournament is capped at 32 teams and the Individuals tournament is limited to 64 Individuals.
